Directors' Profiles

Gregory Molale graduated from University of JHB (formerly known as RAU) in Film and TV production. He produced and script - written Vibez (teen reality show) for SABC 3 in 2006.

Mr. Molale created shows like Ziyawa La in 2006 for primetime on SABC 1, Xiluva for SABC 2 in 2007 that he produced, directed and scripted. He has also worked as a co-creator for an upcoming SABC show titled I-spani (2008). His creativity has benefited numerous SABC shows like Membaz Only (2006, SABC 3) and YoBiz (SABC 1, 2006), either as a writer or part of the creative team.

Terence Mbulaheni graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with Honours in Film and Television Production and certificate in filmmaking from the University of New York.

Mr. Mbulaheni is currently directing the Maphungubwe Reburial documentary about Ancient Southern African civilization funded by National Heritage Council and DEAT. He also singed a contract to direct other coming Mapungubwe documentary series (animation) about the civilisation of Mapungubwe Empire. He work on Wits’ productions; The Verge as the Directing in 2006, Taxi Story as a co-writer and executive producer in 2006, and Innocent Minds as a director of photography in 2006.

In 2006, he worked as a DOP for an educational show Ziyawa La and television talk shows, Members Only and Xiluva for Real Time Pictures and Touchdown Africa (SABC 1, SABC 2 and SABC 3) in 2007 and 2008. Mr Mbulaheni is also a Film and TV lecturer at the University of Johannesburg.

Terence is currently directing the preproduction of Highway Story, a University of Johannesburg, Coal Stove Pictures and Black Ink Media film. Currently, he is a director of photography for a new SABC 1 show; I-Spani, directed by Linda Gumede.
